The Lincolnshire Group of the Pre-war Austin Seven Club have organized this early season run since 2004, to give cars and occupants a breath of fresh air after the winter. The start is from Hartsholme Country Park in Lincoln. The run is of approximately 110 miles through Lincolnshire and shows the rich variety of landscapes we enjoy. There is a lunch stop, at first this was at Market Rasen but now is at Tealby. The village hall with toilets is open and a Tea Shop is in walking distance. Lunches can be booked through us at the Kings Head, the oldest thatched pub in Lincolnshire. The run finishes at Cleethorpes. Originally we had an evening meal in the Winter gardens, these were un satisfactory to say the least. We now dine in the Beach restaurant, it is open for our exclusive use and is first class.
Cleethorpes is one of our premier seaside towns and has ample accommodation available for those that require it. See; www.cleethorpeswheretostay.com
All Austin Sevens and Classic Cars are eligible with a limit of 60 cars.
In 2007 and 2008 we were flagged off by the Lincoln Town Crier, Terry Stubbings. See him on youtube. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=2emITldegFY
