Grimsthorpe Castle – Speed Trials
This is new event at a new venue and a number of us had been looking forward to it for weeks. It was held on Bank Holiday Sunday and the weather was very unkind. Wet windy and cold. There were four classes of motorbikes and six classes of cars. Of particular interest to me was the Class K – Edwardian ( Pre-1918 ). The seven cars taking part ranged from 1907 – 1913. A goodly number of Lincs. Group Members turned up both to spectate and take part. The whole event was exceptionally well supported by the general public who seem undeterred by the climatic conditions.
