We do love a Ford.

Those of you who have participated in one of Andy and Paddy Malone’s routes during a get together will know how much they love taking us through fords. Although some of the photographs below are not always taken along their routes, we would like to remind you of exciting times

A few more to add to the collection.

Here’s a photo of Paddy Malone which is very unusual, the weather must have been really bad because it’s very rare to see him driving with the hood up.

Now this is more like the Paddy we know and love completely open to the elements.

Aha this photograph has been lost in a cloud somewhere and has come back down to earth, Welcome back Nick Malone.

Sevens to the Sea

Vin Heron on the 2015 Sevens to the Sea Run in his Opal

A rare photo as he is usually behind the camera, Paul and Kath Bradley. Bruce Robinson ready to negotiate the ford behind them.

Rodney Smith and Ian Bancroft during a recent trial.

Not sure who this is

Bill Dixon in his Box Saloon. He looks very confident.

Ian Bancroft driving through a mud bath rather than a Ford

Now this looks more like a river than a Ford, Tony Johnson in his 10/4 Cabriolet, chancing his arm in a rally.

This is my absolute favourite one, having stopped our intrepid driver thinks he can open the bonnet and start the engine again, sadly after a lot of endeavour, he had to be pulled out by a tractor. Sorry the photo is so small but I thought it was worth putting in.

Of course not all cars make it through and last year our friends in the Triumph also had to be rescued.

Nic Malone with Paddy as co pilot at 1983 Kirton Lindsey Trial

A rare photograph of Paddy and Ande Malone’s special with the hood up, going through the Beck at Nettleham

Tony Johnson negotiating a rather deep ford in his Cabriolet, after which the picnic was ruined and it took 3 weeks to dry the carpets out!
